Product description
The heater control is located next to the handbrake on the latest Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 and VW Thing models.
The lever hinges between two plastic resistance discs/rings and is secured with a locknut. The idea is to tighten the locknut until the lever stays in any position.
If it doesn't, then the resistance discs are worn and the nuts need to be retightened at regular intervals.
Replacing the resistance discs saves you from having to retighten those nuts. If you also need the stop plate that locks the lever during maximum opening and closing of the heating valve, see the "related parts" tab
