Product description
On the latest Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 and VW Thing, the heating controls are located next to the handbrake and on the Volkswagen Bus, on the dashboard, next to the ventilation lever.
On the Volkswagen Bus, these levers are mounted on the mechanism with plastic plugs. These plastic plugs or discs/rings often harden and break, replacement is the only correct solution.
On the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 and VW Thing, the lever is hinged between two plastic resistance discs and is fixed by a locknut. The idea is to tighten the locknut until the lever stays in any position. If this is no longer the case, the stop plates, listed in the "Options" tab, are worn and the nuts need to be retightened at regular intervals. The stop plates block the levers during maximum opening and closing of the heating valves.
