Product description
If you can no longer rely on your fuel gauge, or if it constantly shows “full” or “empty”, the fuel tank sender may need replacing. The sender is mounted on top of the fuel tank and transmits the fuel level to the gauge.
Before replacing the sender, first check whether the fuel gauge itself is still working correctly. With the ignition switched on, hold the sender wire against ground. The gauge should then move fully across. If it does, the problem is most likely with the fuel tank sender. The sender cannot be repaired, so replacement is the only solution.
The sender is supplied including the sealing ring. This sealing ring is also available separately and is listed under the Replacement parts tab.
Please note: This fuel tank sender is available in two quality levels. The version listed here is B-quality. The A-quality version can be found under the Alternatives tab. B-quality is a more economical alternative, but keep in mind that the accuracy of the fuel level reading and the service life may be lower than with the A-quality version. By choosing this version, you are consciously choosing a product from a lower quality class. No warranty is provided on this B-quality sender.
