Product description
The fuel filler neck of the Volkswagen T25 is pushed directly into the fuel tank. A rubber grommet is fitted between the filler neck and the fuel tank to provide a leak-free connection.
A worn grommet is the most common cause of leakage. Do not try to repair a leak with sealant or another temporary solution; always replace the rubber grommet.
In 1983, from chassis number 24-E-000 213, the diameter of the filler neck was changed. During maintenance, older vehicles were supposed to be converted to the later filler neck, but this modification was not carried out on all vehicles. For this reason, two different grommets are listed for the T25 up to chassis number 24-E-000 213.
The difference is the internal diameter of the grommet. Therefore, measure the outside diameter of the lower end of the filler neck before ordering.
