The positioning of the distributor drive shaft in the crankcase must be carried out with care. When incorrectly positioned, the distributor is in the wrong position, which means that the location for the installation of the first cylinder spark plug cable no longer corresponds to the Volkswagen specification, making adjustment difficult or sometimes impossible
This distributor drive shaft puller fits into the drive shaft housing and works as an extension, allowing you to position the drive shaft exactly as it should be.
Tip: To avoid losing the adjusting rings on the bottom of the drive shaft during assembly, it is recommended that they be mounted with grease so that they adhere.
