Product description
The bolts used to fix the cylinder head of our diesel engine are so-called traction bolts. The bolts are disposable, once tightened to the right torque, they cannot be reused.
Use your workshop manual (found under the Options tab), which lists the tightening sequence and the correct torque for each turn. After the last turn, tighten the bolts an additional 180 degrees, then allow the engine to run at normal operating temperature (oil temperature of approximately 50°C) and tighten the bolts an additional 90 degrees. After 1500 km, the bolts should be tightened 90 degrees for the last time.
The bolts are wrapped with oil in special paper to avoid corrosion in storage, use engine oil on the threads to develop as little friction as possible so as not to affect the tightening torque.
