Product description
The crankshaft gear that drives the camshaft is attached to the crankshaft and is locked with a key (see options tab). If the teeth are damaged or have been damaged by disassembly, you will have to replace it, otherwise you may encounter problems later on.
The two dots on the pinion indicate the camshaft pinion timing, there is also a mark on this pinion which must be between the two dots on the crankshaft pinion for the correct timing.
To remove this gear, there is a handy tool that will remove the gear from the crankshaft without damaging it (see options tab). It is an expense, but then you can be sure that the job will go smoothly.
