Product description
This copper fuel line is an improved replacement for the original steel one that runs from the fuel tank through the chassis to the engine. Rust is the problem with most Volkswagens that requires the replacement of the fuel line.
If you don't want to open up the lower part of the tunnel (drilling and spot grinding the welds), you'll have to use some force to remove the old line from the clamps. After that, it's a patient job to guide the pipe through the frame. In this case, you will not be able to use all the clamps used to secure the pipe.
If you considered opening the lower part of the tunnel, it will be much easier and you can fix the line in the place you want.
Don't forget to order the pass-through rubbers or grommets (mentioned in the "options" tab), these make sure the fuel hose doesn't tear against the edge of the chassis, as you know copper is softer than metal so never install it without rubbers.
