Product description
This thermal switch is used on various diesel engines equipped with an additional electric water pump for the after-run cooling system. When the coolant temperature reaches a predetermined value, the switch activates the additional water pump. On certain versions, including the T3 Syncro with turbo diesel engine, this switch also controls the turbo cooling fan. This helps dissipate heat after the engine has been switched off and prevents overheating of engine and turbocharger components.
Note: The colour marking is a Volkswagen reference as originally used by Volkswagen. The thermal switch supplied meets Volkswagen specifications. The colour or colour combination of the delivered switch may differ from the original part without affecting its function or specifications.
