Product description
A sharp scraping sound when decoupling is often due to a worn thrust bearing. You have to remove the engine for this, so it is advisable to check the pressure plate and clutch plate properly or even better replace them immediately.
The thrust bearing is mounted to the clutch fork with clips, for the older model thrust bearing #1520 the clips have to be ordered in addition, which are only available in a weighted version (see tab 'Options')
Use only the special clutch assembly grease (see 'Options' tab) for proper and long-lasting lubrication of the thrust bearing, primary shaft, top bearing and any mounted guide bushing. Normal grease can melt due to heat and get on the clutch plate.
