Product description
This grommet has been used in various Volkswagen models for different purposes, but with the same objective: protection against moisture.
On all models, this grommet is fitted around the clutch cable and is attached to the fixed outer wire rope. On the Split Bus and the Bay Window Bus, two are used at the front and rear of the cable, on the other models only at the rear.
On the Split Bus and the Bay Window Bus, this grommet is used in a similar way for the clutch cable, but also for the handbrake cable, t the front.
Finally, they were used on special versions of the Bay Window Bus that had extra indicators at the rear of the roof, there they were used to close the wiring, also in this case you need two
Many Volkswagens do not have these rubbers and the owner is usually unaware that the outer and inner cables are protected by this grommet.
