Product description
When a professional tyre specialist fits new tyres, he also replaces the valves. This ensures that the old valve does not leak and you do not have to go back and have it replaced. Volkswagen uses two valve sizes, depending on the type of rim that is fitted.
Standard valves
These are the same as the original ones: black rubber with a black screw cap. If you are not sure if you have the factory rims that match the year of production or not, measure the diameter of the valve hole so you don't order the wrong size.
Chrome standard valve
This valve is similar to the original in terms of assembly and shape, the visible part being chrome plated and fitted with a screw cap that is also chrome plated. This valve is about 6 mm longer than the standard valve, which can be an advantage for accessibility.
Extra short chrome valve
Due to the visible length of only 20 mm, the valve is less visible, pumping is not hindered and you do not need a special adapter. This valve is screwed into the rim flange instead of being pulled through it (which is common with a standard valve). Also this valve is only available for an 11.5 mm mounting hole, please check before ordering.
