Product description
Most Volkswagens were originally equipped with chrome headlight rings. This also applies to the Karmann Ghia, which had three different types of headlight rings throughout its production years. These differences depend not only on the production year, but also on the type of lighting used.
Models that were factory-equipped with sealed beam headlights, as was required in the USA at the time, have different headlight rings than models with replaceable bulb (duplo) lighting. In addition, for sealed beam versions, the production year also plays a role in these differences.
The B-quality headlight rings listed here are equipped with a hook at the top. For Karmann Ghia models produced in Germany, this hook must be removed. However, if you own a Brazilian Karmann Ghia TC, this is not necessary.
These rings are therefore classified as B-quality: a small modification is required, but in return you benefit from an attractive price.
