Product description
From 1971, the location of the oil cooler on the 1300 and 1600 cc engines was changed from the fanschroud to the outside of the fanschroud. Thus, the oil cooler was no longer an obstacle to cooling cylinders 2 and 3 and the radiator could be enlarged. The fanschroud has also undergone a metamorphosis that is only visible from the rear. Inside, the air conduction panels are adapted and the hot cooling air leaves the engine compartment using an additional oil cooling plate.
This oil cooler sheet consists of two parts and is necessary, if it is missing, the hot air is drawn in by the fan, which leads to a much too high engine temperature.
These oil cooler plates are available with a black coating in original or fully chrome plated version, which can be combined with a chrome or black fanschroud (see related parts tab).
Supplied with the necessary seals which are also available separately.
Note: Only applies to Type 1 dual-inlet engines.
