Jos sylinterinpäitä puretaan jostain syystä, ei ole suositeltavaa asentaa vanhoja työntövarsiputkia uudelleen, koska vuotoriski on erittäin suuri tyypin 1, tyypin 3, CT/CZ- ja WBX-moottoreissa.
Volkswagen ilmoittaa, että tämä on mahdollista näissä moottoreissa, mutta vain jos putket ovat vielä täydellisessä kunnossa, mikä ei ole mahdollista 99 prosentissa moottoreista.
Ruoste on ongelma kaikissa ilmajäähdytteisissä moottoreissa, ja se vaikuttaa putkiin siinä määrin, että pysyvää tiiviyttä ei voida enää taata. Vain jos putket ovat ehjät tai vain vähän vaurioituneet, niitä voidaan käyttää uudelleen. Tyypin 1, tyypin 3, CT/CZ- ja WBX-moottoreissa harmonikkaosaa on hieman irrotettava, koska ne on asennettava lievän jännityksen alaisena.
Vakioputkia ei ole käsitelty kuten alkuperäisiä, mikä selittää, miksi ne ruostuvat nopeasti. Jos haluat päästä niistä lopullisesti eroon, on parasta valita ruostumaton teräs. Joitakin moottoreita on jopa saatavana vain ruostumattomasta teräksestä. Tällä ei ole mitään tekemistä sen kanssa, miten Volkswagenisi lähti tehtaalta aikoinaan, mutta ne pysyvät puhtaina, ja voit käyttää niitä uudelleen tyypin 1, tyypin 3, CT/CZ- ja WBX-moottoreissa sen jälkeen, kun olet tarvittaessa hieman irrottanut niitä.
Tämä ei koske tyypin 4 moottoreita, joissa ei ole harmonikkapäätä.
Purkamisvinkki: Varmista, että näy osoittaa ylöspäin, jotta vältät vuodot.
