Product description
The drive shaft bearing (primary shaft bearing) is housed in the crankshaft of Type 4 and WBX engines. It is advisable to always replace this bearing when replacing the clutch disc with pressure unit.
However, many people forget to replace the felt ring as well; in many cases it's no longer present, and people don't realize that this felt ring is necessary to protect the needle bearing from dust.
Without the felt ring, the greased bearing attracts dust like a magnet, and before you know it, it's no longer grease, but a muddy substance that causes faster bearing wear. Quality A is 100% identical to the original, while quality B is a little more generous in terms of dimensions, so cutting will be necessary with quality B to guarantee the correct outside diameter.
