Product description
To keep the rocker arms securely in position under all operating conditions, one spring washer is fitted to each rocker arm. This spring washer is positioned between two thrust washers and ensures that the rocker arm remains correctly located on the rocker shaft.
During a complete engine rebuild, it is advisable to replace these spring washers as well. Due to age and prolonged use, they can lose part of their original spring tension. Preferably replace them together with the thrust washers, which can be found under the Options tab.
One spring washer is required per rocker arm. For a complete engine with eight rocker arms, you therefore need a total of 8 spring washers.
This spring washer is available in two quality levels. The A-quality listed here is comparable to the original in terms of quality and is intended for anyone who does not want to leave anything to chance and wants to fit the very best, while retaining the same design and quality as the original Volkswagen part.
The B-quality, which can be found under the Alternatives tab, is a more economical choice. The finish is less refined and the service life will generally be shorter than that of the original. Also bear in mind that the risk of material fatigue and eventual breakage is greater than with the A-quality listed here.
