Product description
If you can no longer rely on the fuel gauge, or if it constantly shows “full” or “empty”, the fuel tank sender may need replacement. This sender is mounted at the top of the fuel tank.
First check whether the fuel gauge itself is working correctly by disconnecting the sender wire. Move the wire manually. If the gauge needle moves smoothly from full to empty, the gauge is in good condition and the issue lies with the mechanical sender.
The fuel tank sender listed here has B-quality status for a reason. It functions as intended but clearly differs from the original design. With the exception of the float rod, this version is entirely made of plastic, which was never the case with the original part. In addition, the fuel gauge needle will move more noticeably when cornering, as a counterweight like the original is not present. Since the entire concept is made of plastic, the expected service life is shorter than that of the A-quality version.
The A-quality version is identical to the original from the past and offers a comparable service life. This variant is listed under the ‘Alternatives’ tab.
Mounting bolts and sealing washers are not included. These can be ordered separately and can be found under the ‘Options’ tab.
