Volkswagen Westfalia motorhomes are equipped with a side window from the factory. It can be opened from the inside to remove cooking odours and to ventilate the interior.
You can restore your existing louvred side window, many spare parts are already available, they are listed under the related parts and replacement parts tab. If the damage to the mainly aluminum frame has become too severe, it will still be visible after restoration. You will probably regret not replacing the entire window.
You don't have to do anything for the complete window mentioned here, it is ready to install and made of aluminum like the original. Not only is the rubber window included, but it also comes with a removable screen. The screen is probably gone with your old window, or it is so worn that it would need to be completely redone.
This complete side window with ventilation bars is not only a replacement for the original Westfalia, but can be fitted in every Volkswagen Bay Window Bus that comes with windows, so also extremely suitable for self-built campers and Buses that have been converted by other manufacturers.
Note: The only difference between the left and right windows is the position of the control button. This means you can install a right window on the left side if you prefer to have the control button on the left rather than the right.
