Product description
On the Karmann Ghia, the front and rear hood locks work in a similar way, thanks in part to a cable operated from the inside.
After years of use, the locking parts wear out and the engine hood may open spontaneously. If this is the case for you, it is high time to replace the lock and possibly also the locking pin (see options tab).
While you're at it, check the cable and replace it if necessary at the same time.
