Product description
In 1973, Volkswagen replaced the threaded ends with nuts that mounted the thrust bearing guide sleeve in the gearbox using bolts. As the gearbox was not modified in any other way, neither was the size of the M7 thread.
In addition to the clutch release bearing sleeve, they were also used for the gearbox selector fork for the first and second gears.and were used on Volkswagens from the early to late 1950s.
These M7 bolts are identical to the original as factory-fitted by Volkswagen at the time, and not the shorter 1 mm version implemented years later by Volkswagen to be applicable in a larger part of the Volkswagen range.
Note: The M7 spring washer mentioned in the "options" tab is only applicable if the bolt is used for the gear selector fork.
