Product description
For the 1986 model year, a large number of sensors changed their design and mounting method. They became round cylinders which are pressed into the water flange with an O-ring and secured by a plastic locking spring.
Not all sensors are supplied with an O-ring, even if it needs replacing. If this is the case, the O-ring must be ordered separately.
If the sensor has been dismantled for any reason, it is necessary to replace the O-ring, as the risk of leakage is very high when replacing the old one.
It is also advisable to replace the locking spring listed in the "options" tab. If it breaks, not only will the sensor come out of the flange, but you'll also have a coolant leak, which is probably not desirable.
