Product description
We must prevent the heat generated by the exhaust system from being drawn in by the cooling fan. The engine is not intended to be cooled with warm air, which is why every effort is made to prevent this.
To block the heat from the exhaust, the heat shield listed here is mounted to the engine tinware. If this shield is missing, the engine temperature will rise higher than desired and you risk overheating, with all the consequences that entails.
We regularly see rusted-through and partially broken examples hanging underneath Volkswagen Buses. Don’t leave it like that—replace the heat shield with this high-quality reproduction.
