This double T-piece connects different cooling hoses to each other to regulate the flow rate.
The plastic hardens over time, mainly due to temperature changes. As long as you don't touch it, it can last a very long time. It is only when you take the hose apart that you come up against the brittleness of the material and pieces may come off, in which case you will have to replace it. Although the double T-piece may still look good, you should check carefully for cracks before re-assembling it and, if in doubt, replace it.
If you have to work on the double T-piece, it is probably because the cooling hoses have been removed or you want to replace them. If you have not yet purchased new cooling hoses, they are listed in the "Exploded View" tab. The hose clamps that should always be replaced are listed in both the exploded view and the options tab.
