Many gaskets have been applied by Volkswagen on different engines. As a result, years after production of a certain model has been discontinued, most seals are still available at the official VW dealer. This is often not the case with seals that are only used for one purpose. In this case you have to make the gasket yourself or there must be a reproduction available.
This seal is only applied to waterboxer engines (WBX) between the water flange and the thermostat housing.
