Product description
An internal combustion engine must reach the optimal temperature as quickly as possible to limit gas emissions, but it must not become too hot.
The thermostat flap opens and closes continuously to monitor the correct temperature. Sooner or later, the mechanism will be exhausted, the thermostat will no longer open or a spring will break. It is difficult to predict when this will happen, but there are some signals. If the temperature gauge indicates too high a temperature or if the interior heating remains warm, the thermostat will probably have to be replaced.
The thermostat for the petrol engine is supplied with a sealing ring and the thermostat for the diesel engine is supplied without.
Note: To ensure optimal operation and long thermostat life, it is essential to check that the coolant is not contaminated. We recommend that you do not take unnecessary risks and replace the coolant (see Options tab)
