Product description
The intermediate shaft seal is not mounted directly in the housing but in a guide ring. This guide ring is sealed in the housing by a thin O-ring.
When replacing the retaining ring, it is advisable to also replace this ring, as it would be a pity if, after fitting a new retaining ring, oil were to leak out through the guide ring.
This is not a standard O-ring, but a specially developed O-ring where temperature resistance plays the main role. To indicate that this is a special O-ring, it is coloured green and not black as is the case with universally used O-rings.
