Product description
This sealing rubber can be found on the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, VW Type 3 and VW Thing around the nose of the gearbox and on the VW Bus around the gearshift bar where it exits the gearbox.
On the first models mentioned, it closes the gearbox against the chassis and thus also protects the outgoing gearshift bar and on the VW Bus it is only a protection for the gearshift bar.
This rubber is damaged in most cars, so dirt and dust can flow freely, with good restoration this rubber should not be put back in place weathered.
