Product description
A lambda probe is a sensor located in the exhaust pipe of a car with a gasoline engine. The sensor measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gases and transmits it to the engine management system.
The lambda value is an indicator of combustion efficiency. Depending on the lambda value, the engine management system makes adjustments by modifying the composition of the fuel/air ratio. To do this, it adjusts fuel injection, notably by modifying the injection time of the injectors.
If the lambda sensor is no longer working properly, the engine management system is no longer correctly tuned, resulting in poor combustion. It's not just the periodic inspection of the car that puts it off, but over time, engine damage can also occur.
Note: Before ordering, please check carefully that the lambda sensor listed here matches your engine and model year.
