The wheel arches of your Volkswagen have to withstand a lot, they are continuously subjected to stone chips. To solve this problem, wheel arch panels were available at the time, which were fitted as standard on some luxury Volkswagen Buses such as the Vanagon. If not, they could be ordered as an additional option.
These black plastic interior screens are mounted with two parker screws (not included) in the existing wheel arch and not only prevent damage caused by gravel, they also have a sound-insulating effect.
These panels haven't been available at the official Volkswagen dealer for years, so it was high time that this changed. They are now available as a new reproduction.
Note: It is possible that due to storage in warehouses and/or transportation, the part may have been subjected to pressure and deformed. By heating the deformed area with a hot air dryer, the deformation can be eliminated.
