Product description
When replacing a rear wheel bearing, it is particularly important to check that the spacer ring, against which the bearing is clamped, is free of defects. If it is worn, this is often due to incorrect assembly, the most common error being tightening the rear axle nut to the wrong torque. Fitting a worn washer will cause play and you will damage not only the bearing but also the drive shaft.
Do not confuse this ring with the front spacer ring, over which the retaining ring passes. When everything is disassembled, the thin ring should be placed behind the bearing and the wider ring in front of the bearing. The front spacer ring is listed in the related parts tab.
