Product description
Besides locking wire, locking plates are the oldest methods of securing a bolt or nut. Our classic Volkswagen has both locking systems, but you will mainly encounter locking plates.
Each locking plate is intended for a specific bolt or nut and can therefore not be used universally. The locking plate mentioned here is for securing the bolt that clamps the pitman arm.
Always mount a new locking plate, reusing it (knocking it straight and bending it again) will result in metal fatigue. Don't take any risks, imagine what will happen if the bolt comes loose.
