Product description
Grease bearing seals ensure that the lubricant for the wheel bearings remains trapped in the hub. If a retaining ring leaks, the bearings will wear out in the foreseeable future and will have to be replaced. If you continue to drive the bearing will become so hot that the spindle will become unusable (and in the worst case, may break spontaneously).
Do not take unnecessary risks and regularly check the condition of the bearing parts, especially the lubrication rings. By replacing them on time, you can save a lot of money and trouble.
Always install a grease seal that is designed for your year of manufacture and application, although some bearing seals seem to fit well for other years of manufacture and/or application. Volkswagen has developed several lubrication rings for this purpose for good reason.
Note: Press the grease seal evenly into the brake drum or disc. Incorrect pressure can damage the grease seal and cause it to lose its sealing function.
