On Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia models, the front trunk is unlocked by a lever located in the glove compartment. In the case of a cable that doesn't work properly, you usually do nothing, but just push the lever a little further until the whole system is broken.
Drill holes in the old rivets and use rivets (with an extra ring if necessary) to fasten the new system, but make sure that the outer cable is not cracked or broken and that the inner cable is not twisted in the outer cable.
If necessary, additionally order these cables as well as the plastic handle which is not included (see options tab).
Available for both left- and right-hand drive cars.
