The running board rubber is also available separately and not only in black, as is the case with the new running boards, but in several colors. All running board coverings fit all running boards, regardless of their year of manufacture. The years of manufacture mentioned are only for the ribbed structure, which has been modified three times over the entire production period.
The complete running boards in our assortment are equipped with the ribbed structure that Volkswagen introduced from the model year 1961 and only in the color black. If you have an older VW Beetle and you want the same ribbed structure as the one delivered from the factory, you will have to replace the existing covering. The same applies if you want to combine the upholstery with the body color, as Volkswagen did in the past.
For those who wish to restore their existing running boards, it is often necessary to replace the rubber. This is the perfect replacement.
