If you find it too difficult to replace your existing seat upholstery or if you are looking for a more economical solution, you may want to consider these seat covers. They are installed on the existing upholstery and fixed at the bottom with Velcro.

The seat covers are similar to the original "basket" pattern used from 8/1964 and have an exact shape.

If the seat or backrest has collapsed, you can use a padding material between the original upholstery and the seat cover, such as a piece of foam rubber, but this will never tighten the cover completely.

Caution: These are covers that cover the original upholstery, you cannot expect the same result as when you completely restore the seat.

For all years of construction not listed, only replacement seat upholstery sets are available.

This set is only for the Volkswagen Beetle sedan because the Beetle convertible has a narrower rear seat. Thus, for the front seats, this assembly is usable, but for the rear seat of the convertible, it is not usable or must be adjusted.
