Product description
Volkswagen has used several universally applied parts that can be identified by the part number beginning with the "N" of the German word Normteile, which means "standard parts."
In addition, there are numerous mounting parts that resemble a standard part but were specifically developed by Volkswagen. This is also the case with this corrugated spring washer that also performs the task as a body ring. The part number does not begin with "N" for Normteile but with its own Volkswagen number.
These spring and body washers have been used in various Volkswagen models for different applications. The treatment in black oxide has been replaced by a black galavanized layer. A black oxide layer as applied by Volkswagen gives little to almost no rust protection, while a black galavanized layer does. This also means that the color has remained the same, in other words, there is no perceptible difference from the original.
