Product description
If your Volkswagen Beetle is equipped with a ventilation grille under the hood of the front trunk, you have a luxury version, in which you can control the incoming airflow for driver and passenger using rotary knobs on the dashboard.
The ventilation box flaps that control the air flow are fitted with a foam gasket that ensures a tight seal when closed.
In most Volkswagens, these flaps have deteriorated over the years, and if you've never paid attention to them, you can assume they're no longer airtight.
If you also suffer from that annoying draught when the valves are closed, check whether the seals are still adequate and replace them if necessary. Remove any remaining foam from the dampers, make sure they're well degreased and stick on these new self-adhesive gaskets, and your ventilation system will once again work as it should, without leaks.
