An accessory from a bygone era that has regained considerable popularity in recent years.
This sun visor is the predecessor of the tinted sun strip now integrated into many windscreens. It is a reproduction of the sun visors that were once supplied as accessories, with the original design improved in several areas. The frame is now made of aluminium, while the mounting parts are made of stainless steel, ensuring a long service life.
Two versions are available:
The best-known version is the Perspex model from the 1970s, which takes its name from the material used to manufacture the visor. This version is available in various colours, allowing you to match the sun visor to the body colour of your Volkswagen.
The Australian sun visor has also made a comeback. This version takes its name from its country of origin. In the 1950s, transparent plastic sheets were not yet widely available. Fine stainless-steel mesh was therefore used to break up direct sunlight without completely obstructing the view.
