Product description
Nowadays, a cigarette lighter is hardly ever used to light a cigarette, but is mainly used as a socket for all kinds of accessories. Unfortunately, most classic Volkswagens didn't get them from the factory.
Only when the third generation VW Bus was introduced, a cigarette lighter was installed in the factory, and not in all versions. As an option, you could order a cigar lighter from your Volkswagen dealer, all you had to do was ask for it explicitly, which may be the reason why most Volkswagens didn't have this possibility.
For years, these cigarette lighters were no longer available, at least not in the way they were delivered in the 1960s. The cigarette lighter mentioned here is the same as the model of the 60s and therefore also equipped with a button that matches the other buttons on the dashboard of the time.
This cigarette lighter has 3 different colored buttons, so there is always a button that matches the other buttons on your dashboard, even if your Volkswagen is from the 70's, 80's or 90's.
