Solex H40/44 EIS carburetors are quite popular and therefore common on lightly tuned engines. If you own an EMPI 40K carburetor, you're dealing with similar carburetors, but in a reproduction version.

The float is identical and can therefore be used for both the original Solex and the EMPI 40K as a spare part in the event of a leak.

Float leaks are slightly more frequent than average, for both Solex and EMPI models. An overflowing float chamber is often the cause.
