Product description
Many starter problems are due to solenoid wear. The solenoid is located on the starter motor and causes the gears to operate and the electrical voltage to be transmitted to the starter motor.
If the starter motor does not engage by turning the ignition key, the solenoid is worn. Before purchasing another starter, it is a good idea to check the solenoid.
Now there are very few Volkswagens that are equipped with the starter motor that was installed at the factory. The years of manufacture given are as Volkswagen supplied it from the factory, so it may well be that this solenoid will also fit your starter motor despite the year of manufacture given not matching. It is therefore advisable to compare the old solenoid with the images before ordering.
Note: This is a 12 volt Solenoid and does not work on 6 volts
