Product description
Spontaneous failure of the clutch operating shaft (or clutch fork) occurs regularly. The main cause is the failure of the clutch release bearing due to old age or very intensive use. Never continue driving if you hear the hum of the clutch release bearing when the clutch is depressed, indicating a worn bearing that can cause serious damage if it comes off the clutch fork.
Always replace the clutch release bearing with the pressure plate and clutch disc. It can be assumed that if the clutch disc is worn out, sooner or later, the pressure unit and bearing will follow.
When replacing the clutch operating shaft, it is necessary to remove the clutch lever, use a rusty solvent such as WD40 (#51600) and no burner, with a burner you burn the parts around the fork.
The clutch fork is delivered without mounting material, order this supplement if necessary (see options tab). This mounting material is available for 16 mm shafts as originally, or with a bronze bearing bush. For 20 mm axles, you have no choice, this is only available with a bronze bush.
