Product description
To limit the suspension travel, stop rubbers can be found on the rear axle, on the pendulum axle* models they are mounted on a separate support. The rubber is pressed onto a bulge located in the center of the support. Moisture and dirt can accumulate there, creating a breeding ground for rust, which attacks the bulge and spontaneously breaks off when the rubber is pulled loose. The only thing you can then do is install a new support. It is advisable to install a set of new rubbers in addition to the support, they will need replacement just as badly as your rusted-out support.
Applicable to the following swing axle* models :
Beetle from August 1964 and later
Karmann Ghia from august 1964 and later
Type 3 all construction years
