These washers are located between the bearing cover and the side cover of the gearbox and are not included in the gasket kit #1415, always take them extra, reusing the old washers is asking for leakage.
Applicable on every commuter shaft gearbox of all air-cooled Volkswagens
* swing axles (trumpets or swing axle) can be recognized by 1 drive sleeve mounted on the gearbox side and for intermediate shafts (IRS or cardans) they are separate shafts (with homokinets) with drive sleeves on both sides.
