Product description
There are metal pipes between the brake master cylinder and the brake fluid reservoir, with flexible connections at the ends to ensure the connection. Due to the torsional action in the bodywork, a complete fixed connection could cause problems, hence the choice to interrupt the metal pipes with a flexible part.
The 4.5 mm hose is supplied in lengths of 10 cm, where only the VW type 3 requires two parts, the Beetle and the Karmann Ghia have enough with only one part.
The 7.0 mm hose is supplied in 50 cm lengths, you can easily manufacture all the necessary lengths. Thanks to its fixed length of 50 cm, this hose is suitable for going directly from the master cylinder to the brake fluid reservoir (without metal pipe), as is often the case with Buggies and other Kit-Cars.
Remark: Measure the desired length before ordering, this will avoid disappointment if it turns out that you would need an extra length.
Caution: Never use fuel or oil hoses in place of this special brake fluid hose. Brake fluid is very aggressive and will damage the fuel or oil hose in no time, you will lose all your brake fluid and only retain your hand brake.
