Product description
During all the years of Karmann Ghia's construction, the engine compartment is opened from the inside by means of a push-button that controls a cable. The cable is equipped with a plastic outer cable that has become brittle and cracked due to age. Once the outer casing is damaged, the inner cable will not be able to slide in easily, making it difficult to open the engine compartment or, in the worst case, the engine compartment will not open at all. If cracks are visible, it is advisable to replace this cable, better safe than sorry.
It's not a universal tube but equal to the original, including a thickened end.
