Product description
This cable is used to unlock the boot or engine lid. We recommend that you check its function regularly. If the cable is no longer functioning properly, check and possibly replace the inner cable. This is particularly important for a Volkswagen Beetle from August 1968: if the cable breaks while the trunk is closed, it cannot be opened without sawing the handle!
When fitting the inner cable, it must be adjusted and cut to length at the lock.
The inner cables for the lock box on older models and the cables for the motor cover on Karmann Ghia are supplied with the knob.
On younger models, the unlocking mechanism is located in the glove box. If the release mechanism needs to be replaced, it can be purchased extra (see options tab).
