Product description
To extract the torsion bars from the rear axle, the fenders are fitted with a round inspection hole, which is closed by a two-part plate.
These two parts are clamped together with a nut, and this is often where the problem lies. On many Karmann Ghia models, this connection has rusted and the bolt has broken. What's more, the rust has often caused so much damage that replacing the original plates is no longer an option.
These new plates are supplied separately. They consist of an outer part which follows the contour of the mudguard and is fitted with a stud and nut, and an inner part which is attached to the mudguard.
The outer part is in powder-coated metal, while the inner part is in stainless steel (SS). Internal regrowth is a thing of the past.
