Thanks to an additional oil sump, the oil capacity is increased by 1.5 liters, so that there is always enough oil available for long turns and fast accelerations. In this way, the oil pump does not suck in air, the additional oil also provides better cooling.
This cooling is further reinforced by the fact that the extra sump is mounted under the existing sump, in the center of the air flow. The result is immediately visible when you have an oil temperature gauge on board, which will indicate a lower number of degrees than before.
Due to the increase in the amount of oil, the oil will remain usable for a longer period of time. Of course, this does not mean that you can extend the oil change intervals.
In terms of size, this sump remains within limits, but if your VW is extremely low, it can be an obstacle. First check if the crankcase is not too low before ordering, the dimensions are 230 x 265 mm and a height of 65 mm.
The additional sump is mounted at the bottom of the existing sump so that the sump cover with oil screen moves towards the bottom of this additional sump. To cover the additional distance, the oil suction tube must be extended with one of the extension tubes provided.
Comes with mounting hardware and seals between the existing sump and this 1.5 litersoliezeef, but excluding the oliezeef cover, oil screen and seals, add them if necessary (see options tab).
